NFS Agribusiness - Realising Future Technologies Featured

NFS Agribusiness has once again been awarded for Unparalleled Sales and Invaluable Customer Service at the Annual Trimble Reseller Meeting held in Colorado last January. The Platinum Circle award is recognition for the commitment and support that NFS Ag has provided their customers through the latest technological innovations in agriculture.

In 2012 Michael Casey (NFS General Manager) was invited to present to a group of global Trimble product distributors on what he speculated would drive future product demand. An emphasis on Product Control Solutions and Data Management has resulted in this prediction becoming reality in 2013 with strong growth shown in these areas.
"With the winter cropping season upon us, we have seen strong demand for airseeder controls and seed monitoring solutions. Our clients that have invested previously in the Trimble GPS equipment to achieve accuracy of machine and implement application are now benefiting from Field IQ solutions that achieve high accuracy of actual seed and fertiliser rates applied".
The Field IQ Crop Input Control System has been most popular for use with spraying, spreading and anhydrous applications, however with recent additions customers are now able to utilize the one controller in the cab to also control their summer and winter crop planting equipment with specifically designed kits available for airseeders designed to suit Australian conditions.
2013 has seen many new additions to Trimble Agriculture's Product portfolio with new products and services based on value adding to existing hardware already working the field.
The new Centrepoint RTX (3.8cm) subscription service is being utilized by growers all around the world to achieve a high level of accuracy without the expense of an RTK Base station. In addition, the launch of Rangepoint RTX this month will provide huge accuracy improvements to the many users of the popular CFX-750 Display. Rangepoint RTX will provide accuracies of 15cm pass to pass with 50cm repeatability. The first 12 months subscription is free if subscribed before December 31st with renewals costing $350 per year.
Other innovative additions include Connected Farm, a wireless data management service to deliver job and field information to the office seamlessly, as well as Vehicle Synch and Vehicle Monitoring services.
"Vehicle Synch enables the operator to see real time locations, coverage maps, bin levels and applied product information relevant to other vehicles working in the field." said Andrew Cory (NFS Application Control Specialist). "This feature also enables AB lines to be shared wirelessly between machines operating in the same field to ensure every machine is working to the utmost accuracy".
